These past few days I’ve been walking, reflectin These past few days I’ve been walking, reflecting, and finding quiet again among the trees — the best place for me to refill my creative tank. 🌳 A few years ago, I wrote a children’s TV series about trees & our beautiful wildlife — it was picked up by a production company 🎉 🎉🎉 but sadly never got the green light 😔 I had fun though, I learnt a lot, met some wonderful people… and although the disappointment hurt a lot at the time, it’s all part of this wonderfully emotional creative journey I’m on 😊💫🌟⭐️ So, here I am taking time to reflect, regroup, and rekindle a few new ideas for the future. It’s my birthday today 🎉 and I’ve been refl It’s my birthday today 🎉 and I’ve been reflecting on the past year. What a year it’s been! Launching Little Mouse is Absolutely, Completely, Totally Fine! 🐭✨ has brought so many special moments — from spotting Little Mouse in shop windows and library displays, to stepping into schools where children shared their own worries, bravery, and big feelings with Little Mouse 🐭🐭🐭❤️ There have been quieter moments when I’ve been waiting to hear news on manuscripts out on submission, and of course the sting of rejections & near misses (and there have been a few!) But every step forward has mattered, and I’ve been lifted all the way by my wonderful family and writing community 🥰 So today, as I step into my 56th year, I’m feeling so grateful — we’ve settled into our gorgeous new cottage, I’ve a brand new manuscript in my agent’s hands (wish me luck!), and l’m booking school visits again this week (including delivering Little Mouse birthday prizes on Friday!). Thank you to everyone who has walked alongside Little Mouse and me this year.
